• The AKI Z Scan Probe steers an internal laser beam to programmable X, Y coordinates and measures Z ht and chosen positions.  

• The Scan Probe is useful for suspension and HGA beam profiles, such as bend geometry and SAG. 

• A smaller version can be used for gimbal and slider scans.

• The probe can include a Vision Camera which can be used to locate the image using Vision Tools (software calls included for this), and then steer the beam to precise locations based on this vision.

Setup Program
Each probe comes with a simple yet powerful sample program which is very useful for setup, troubleshooting, testing and learning.

Custom Program
AKI can also provide a custom program tailored to the customer’s exact needs.  This can include interfacing with other hardware and/or motion control.

Integration into your own program. 
Developers can choose to write their own program using the AKI Software Libraries. You may choose from either an ActiveX COM object or a .NET dll in order to communicate with the AKI Probe. Integration is extremely simple and source code examples are supplied for any development language.
